Jim McKenzie is Professor Emeritus at Ball State University. He earned his PhD from The Ohio State University, a MPH from the University of Michigan, and a MEd and BS from Bowling Green State University (BGSU). He has also served on the faculties at BGSU, Mankato State University, and Penn State-Hershey. He is a master certified health education specialist (MCHES) and served on NCHEC's Division Board for Certification of Health Education Specialists for 11 years. He is co-author of five textbooks: Planning, Implementing, and Evaluating Health Promotion Programs: A Primer (7th ed., 2017, Benjamin Cummings), An Introduction to Community and Public Health (9th ed., 2018, Jones & Bartlett Learning), An Introduction to Community Health: Brief Edition (2014, Jones & Bartlett Learning), Principles and Foundations of Health Promotion and Education (7th ed., in press, Benjamin Cummings), and Research Methods in Health Promotion and Education (2nd ed., 2011, Jones & Bartlett Publishers). He is a member of Society for Public Health Education, American School Health Association, and Eta Sigma Gamma.
