This book was originally published prior to 1923, and represents a reproduction of an important historical work, maintaining the same format as the original work. Aristophanes son of Philippus, was a comic playwright of ancient Athens known as the Father of Comedy. Feared for his powers of ridicule, his influence was even acknowledged by Plato as the cause of the trial of Socrates. One of the great playwrights of ancient Athens his work will be enjoyed and remembered for years to come.
