Synopsis
Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made available for future generations to enjoy.

Seven Edwards of England is designed to give, within certain prescribed limits, some account of the personal and family affairs of those sovereigns and of the minor, yet not insignificant, detail of their daily lives. I am indebted to those, including Bodley sL ibrarian, who have permitted access to the collections under their control, and I desire to record the assistance I have received from those personally unknown workers, the compilers of Calendars of State Records, in dealing with some part of the immense material worked upon in the preparation of this book.
