Synopsis

Tanesia Cleopatra Jones is a twenty-two year old music tutor at the local collage. She gets a surprise visit from a solicitor from a town a few miles from her home town. He tells her that her great great-aunt has bequeathed all her worldly possessions to her youngest living blood relation. Tanesia, although she has never met her great great-aunt, not knowing she even existed, is the beneficiary. The aunt, she learns, fought with the Resistance in France during the Second World War, behind enemy lines. There she met a young man, with whom she fell in love and married at the wars end. He was a Polish Count, so they went to live in his country. After her husband s early demise, she moved back to England. She was discovered dead one morning in mysterious circumstances. When Tanesia goes through her late aunt s belongings she find evidence that the Countess, whilst living in Poland, has been involved in espionage, passing information to M.I.6. When suspicions were raised against her she was forced to go back to her home country. From then on, Tanesia is visited by unsavoury men from Poland trying the get their hands on the Countess papers to learn how much and what she has divulged. She and Dawn are attacked one night by Polish thugs and beaten up in an effort to get the information. Later, her family home is attacked by members of the Polish Intelligence Service, involving a gun battle between them and British Special Forces. Tanesia also inherits the title of Countess, which brings with it three properties, two in England, plus the Count s palace in Warsaw, and many pieces of very expensive jewellery, including the Countess official regalia; a tiara, necklace, bracelet and a fortune in cash and possessions.
