George Herbert Betts (1868-1934), a contemporary of such religious educators as George Albert Coe, Walter S. Athearn, Henry F. Cope, William Clayton Bower, and Luther A. Weigle, devoted his career establishing and defending the connections among religious education, education, psychology, classroom management, and curriculum theory.
