Synopsis

Cara and Donny’s Musical Adventure is a new approach to learning music, specifically piano but can be used for classroom application as well. Cat for C Dog for D etc. each character meets and engages with the other characters as they have fun and learn music as well as social skills. Cara the cat takes walk, introducing quarter notes and a steady beat. She then meets Donny the Dog and they develop a friendship and go on adventures to meet other “notes” (characters) and musical concepts. Students love trying to figure out the next character and enjoy the story line. I have found it keeps students’ interest and reading becomes fun.
