Synopsis

For a young gay black man like Devon Washington, Manhattan in the 1980s presents exciting possibilities but also grave threats. He came out as a gay man--haltingly--in the late seventies and has lived in the cities he now writes about. This is his second work of gay fiction--a spinoff from his first, published in 2022, titled Pairings.
