Synopsis
Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made available for future generations to enjoy.

In the first edition of my Essay on Parliamentart Government, I endeavoured to ascertain on what principles any new measure of Parliamentary Reform ought to be framed, and to what objects it ought to be directed; but I advisedly abstained from suggesting any means of carrying into effect the views I had stated. I venture now to offer to the Public a new edition of the Essay, for the purpose of supplying this intentional omission in the former one. I am induced to do so by my belief that the altered circumstances of the present time afford advantages which were previously wanting for discussing proposals for the improvement of our Representative
