This little volume is intended to be a practical text-book of the Art of Singing. I have endeavored, first of all, to be clear and exact and as impersonal as possible. Though written primarily for the student, I hope that it may be of assistance to lovers of music who, not being musicians, desire the ability to form judgments of musical performances, rather than haphazard opinions.
My aim has been to aid the earnest student of voice to understand the highest purpose of Singing, and the means whereby he may achieve that purpose.

Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book on singing elegantly disentangles the elements that define vocal artistry into an accessible, deep-dive guide. It begins by defining ideals of singing, asserting that a focus on physical aspects alone is limiting, and instead champions a comprehension of the singer's mental processes and emotions. Using engaging examples from a wide-ranging pool of classic songs, the author illustrates this concept, showing the myriad ways vocal delivery can mirror emotional expression. Key concepts such as quality, color, power, articulation, and vocalization are examined, helping singers understand the range of expressive tools at their disposal. This book is an invaluable guide not just for singers, but for anyone with an interest in vocal performance and musical communication. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. N° de réf. du vendeur 9781330015520_0
