Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book re-examines the structure of the atom, positing a theory of the atom that challenges the limitations of the established Bohr model. The author demonstrates that the Bohr model cannot account for uniform, constant vibrations of a quantifiable frequency while an electron is changing over from one circular orbit to another circular orbit of a smaller radius about the nucleus of the atom. Instead, the author proposes that the vibrations emitted during radiation from a gas are directly attributed to the forms of the paths followed by the electrons themselves upon returning to their normal orbit after displacement. The paths followed by the electrons are responsible for the frequencies of the vibrations observed in the spectra.
