Leopold is delighted to publish this classic book as part of our extensive Classic Library collection. Many of the books in our collection have been out of print for decades, and therefore have not been accessible to the general public. The aim of our publishing program is to facilitate rapid access to this vast reservoir of literature, and our view is that this is a significant literary work, which deserves to be brought back into print after many decades. The contents of the vast majority of titles in the Classic Library have been scanned from the original works. To ensure a high quality product, each title has been meticulously hand curated by our staff. This means that we have checked every single page in every title, making it highly unlikely that any material imperfections – such as poor picture quality, blurred or missing text - remain. When our staff observed such imperfections in the original work, these have either been repaired, or the title has been excluded from the Leopold Classic Library catalogue. As part of our on-going commitment to delivering value to the reader, within the book we have also provided you with a link to a website, where you may download a digital version of this work for free. Our philosophy has been guided by a desire to provide the reader with a book that is as close as possible to ownership of the original work. We hope that you will enjoy this wonderful classic work, and that for you it becomes an enriching experience. This little book is made up largely from notes which the writer jotted down from time to time after experiences of one sort or another. Some of the paragraphs are purely memoranda which he wrote at different periods for his own guidance, in the form of a diary. Therefore, the reader can pardon the preaching appearance of the book by remembering that the author is preaching to himself. He also desires to acknowledge indebtedness to Clarence N. Stone, George E. Macllwain, Charles W. Wallour, Melvin L. Morse, and other of his associates for help in the preparation of the book. These men are all experts of the Babson Statistical Organization, and in a way the book is a composite opinion of us all. R. W. B. Wellesley Hills, Mass. May,

Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book explores the complex relationship between wealth, its accumulation, and its impact on individuals and society. The author delves into the motivations behind the pursuit of wealth, examining the allure of power and influence, the desire to secure a comfortable life for oneself and oneââ â¢s family, and the drive to leave a legacy through charitable endeavors. The author also probes the psychological effects of wealth, arguing that while riches are not inherently wrong, they can become a dangerous obsession that can lead to the neglect of personal relationships, health, and true happiness. The book is rooted in a historical context of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, a time marked by rapid industrialization and burgeoning wealth, leading to a growing gap between the rich and the poor. The author draws upon insights from various thinkers, including religious figures and economists, to provide a nuanced perspective on the nature of wealth and its role in society. The author emphasizes the importance of a balanced perspective, urging readers to recognize that while material wealth has its uses, it should not be the sole focus of one's life. The book ultimately underscores the significance of investing in enduring values, such as personal relationships, community service, and spiritual growth, as the true sources of lasting fulfillment and well-being.
