One of the evil results that are bound to ?ow from the indiscriminate prohibition of intoxicating liquors is, that men learn to drink; whiskey rather than beer, as it is more easily smuggled. W. E. H. Leck Y.
There is probably no one subject that interests more persons than this of liquor, except perhaps it be that of pure foods. Almost everyone is likely to have an opinion on the subject of prohibition and is likely to express it pretty freely. Not one of the large number of samples was found to contain any deleterious substances. The verdict was that there was no adulteration of a harm ful or other kind.
