The Call of theD ark Continent goes forth as the second of a series of Centenary Text Books prepared for the use of MissionaryS tudy Circles. In the decision to pubhsh for the present our own text books there is no intention to separate ourselves as aC hurch from the main body of workers in the Interdenominational Study Circle Movement. But it was thought necessary during the years of the Centenary Movement to call the attention of our Methodist people especially to the progress, the needs, and the opportunities of our own work, and for this purpose to provide the necessary literature. The adoption of this course was rendered the more necessary that many of our people refrained from joining the United Missionary Study Movement, alleging that the text books in use contained nothing about Methodist Missions. The course has, moreover, been justified by a large increase last year in the number of Study Circles
