Synopsis

A dramatic, historical glimpse into the heart of a pivotal moment in ancient Judea.

This volume presents a vivid, document-style account that places readers at the center of Pilate’s council and the early stirrings around Jesus of Nazareth. Through translated excerpts and editor’s notes, it explores how Roman and Jewish authorities viewed the Nazarene, and why his words and actions sparked lasting debate. The text also reflects on how the Apostles came to be seen as witnesses, shaping the story that became the Gospel.

From the halls of the praetorium to the quiet moments of conversation with Jesus, the book offers a rare look at the tension between power and faith. It blends dramatic scenes with thoughtful commentary on testimony, truth, and how history remembers a single life that moved a generation.

  • Experience a closely observed, historically flavored portrayal of Pilate’s Report and its implications.
  • Encounter direct moments of dialogue that illuminate Rome’s stance and the Nazarene’s response.
  • Learn how early witnesses were chosen and why their testimonies became foundational for the Gospel.
  • Explore themes of tolerance, authority, and the struggle to preserve peace in a volatile city.

Ideal for readers of historical religion, apocryphal texts, and those curious about how ancient records shape modern understanding.

Excerpt from The Archko Volume: Or the Archeological Writings of the Sanhedrim and Talmuds of the Jews (Intra Secus)

Believing that no event, of as much importance as the death of Jesus of Nazareth was to the world, could have transpired without some record being made of it by his enemies in their courts, legislations and histories, I commenced investigating the subject. After many years of study, and after consulting various histories and corresponding with many scholars, I secured the assistance of two learned men - Drs. McIntosh and Twyman - and went to the Vatican at Rome, and then, to the Jewish Tulmuds at Constantinople, incurring a risk of my life as well as expending a good deal of money. As a result, I have compiled the following book, which will he found one of the most strange and interesting works ever read. It may appear fragmentary, but the reader will remember that it is the record of men made nearly two thousand years ago.
