Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book explores the Being and Attributes of God by examining His works. The author starts from the position that we can infer God's existence and attributes through His Creation and rejects skepticism regarding the nature of the external world. The author argues we can only know the existence of anything, including ourselves, through our experience of it, and the primary source of our knowledge of the world is sensory perception. This sensory perception, combined with the knowledge of our own existence through consciousness, distinguishes us from non-human creatures. Without an external, material world, the author argues we would have no knowledge at all. The author continues by refuting the idea that the material world is an illusion. The author argues that both idealism and the denial of the existence of mind are untenable positions, resulting from a neglect of classical philosophy and a vain attempt to replace it with something 'better.' The author presents an alternative way of thinking about God and His Creation, rooted in an examination of natural phenomena, including motion.
