This book presents an impressive collation of the Hebrew Pentateuch, a portion of the Hebrew scriptures, from a unique manuscript found in India among a community of Black Jews. The manuscript is composed of fragments from three different rolls, written in different hands and on red and brown skins, with some dating back to the time of Arabian or African texts. The collation finds that the manuscript aligns well with the Masoretic text, containing very few variations. By comparing the manuscript to the Masoretic text, the author argues for the integrity of the Pentateuch and the faithfulness of both the manuscript and the Masoretic text to the original Mosaic autograph. This book will be of interest to biblical scholars and theologians seeking to understand the transmission and preservation of the Hebrew scriptures.
