Plane Trigonometry which precedes De Moivre s Theorem. The method of explanation is similar to that adopted in my ELEMENTARY ALGEBRA. The examples, progressive and easy, have been selected chiefly from College and University Examination Papers, but I am indebted for many to the works of several German writers, especially those of Dienger, Meyer, Weiss, and Wiegand. 1have carried on the subject somewhat beyond the limits set by the Regulations for the Examination of Candidates for Honours in the Previous Examination for two reasons: first, because I hope to see those limits extended, secondly, that my work may be more useful to those who are reading the subject in Schools and to Candidates in th Local Examinations. Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book describes the principles of plane trigonometry, laying out the groundwork for applications in the calculation of heights and distances. It begins with the measurement of lines and angles, illustrating the concepts of trigonometrical ratios and their use in problem-solving. The author explains how to calculate the trigonometric ratios of various angles in the first quadrant, demonstrating techniques used in applications such as finding the height of buildings and the breadth of rivers. This book is an accessible and valuable resource for students of trigonometry, providing a clear and systematic approach to understanding the subject.
