Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book is an address delivered on the 55th anniversary of the Independence of the United States of America, which also happened to be the 4th of July. The author delves into the meaning of the Declaration of Independence and how the principles exemplified therein continue to impact the United States. The author argues that unlike the British, who saw their own Declaration of Independence as a grant of royal bounty, the American Declaration was "the only lawful foundation of civil government" and "the cornerstone of a new fabric" which was destined to cover the surface of the globe. The author also argues that the principles of the Declaration were what led to the United States' ultimate victory over British imperial forces because right was on its side. The author concludes by reaffirming the principles of liberty and independence that the Declaration enshrines and calls on his audience to recommit to them.
