Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book asserts that the current obsession with profit at any cost in industry and commerce is flawed; that the object of life is, instead, the pursuit of happiness for all. The author contends this can be achieved through economic, political and social reforms such as increased healthcare, education, and housing for the masses. Buttressing the argument, the book explores how these ideals played out in various countries during the upheaval of the first World War. This provocative call to action encourages countries to learn the lessons of the postwar era and avoid the mistakes of the past to pave the way for a better future.
