If St. Augustine found it necessary to publish fourteen books of Retractations, it is not likely but that I have, in the following pages, erred in some points, at least verbally; but I am the more likely to be exempt from considerable error inasmuch as I make no ridiculous pretence of invading the province of the theologian by defining or explaining dogma. This I am content with implicitly accepting; my work being mainly that of the Poet, bent only upon discovering and reporting how the loving hint of doctrine has met the longing guess of the souls of those who have so believed in the Unseen that it has become visible, and who have thenceforward found their existence to be no longer a sheath without a sword, a desire without fulfilment. 78.S3.

Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book explores the enigmatic nature of the human soul through the lens of various historical and religious teachings. The author argues that the soul, often perceived as an abstract concept, is in fact a tangible entity that can be experienced and understood through introspection and the pursuit of divine knowledge. Drawing from both Eastern and Western philosophies, the book examines the interconnectedness of the physical and spiritual realms and the role of humility in unlocking the mysteries of existence. The author posits that true wisdom lies in embracing the limitations of human understanding and recognizing the innate divinity within. This book offers a profound and introspective journey into the depths of human consciousness, inviting readers to question their beliefs and seek a deeper connection with their spiritual selves.
