Synopsis

A young woman's journey of faith unfolds in a Galilean world of promise and struggle.

In a small Galilean community, Lea grows from a spirited girl into a steadfast believer. Through family ties, friendships, and daily life beside the Sea of Galilee, she discovers how faith can light a path through joy and sorrow. The story blends personal resilience with a vivid historical setting as Lea engages with the ancient stories that shape her world.

As Lea faces danger, loss, and life’s hard choices, she learns to trust in something greater than herself. Her journey moves from playful mischief among friends to a mature, hopeful faith that endures in hardship and triumph.
  • A coming-of-age tale set against the backdrop of early Christian life in Galilee.
  • Rich details of daily life, family ties, and community faith practices.
  • Encounters with biblical narratives presented through Lea’s perspective.
  • A narrative about courage, sacrifice, and the sustaining power of faith.
Ideal for readers who enjoy historical fiction with a spiritual core and a deeply human protagonist.

Présentation de l'éditeur

The Author of the following Tale is already favorably known to the American public by the translation of his Helons Pilgrimage. He is one of the most distinguished among the learned clergy of Prussia, and holds several of the highest offices in the royal gift, being Court Preacher, Professor in the Royal University of Berlin, Ecclesiastical Councillor, c. In his present commanding position he exerts a wide, and, without doubt, a highly salutary influence ;for the spirit of evangelical piety pervades both his instructions and his preaching. We cannot but regret, however, that his withdrawal from the comparative seclusion of a pastors life, has of late years necessarily limited his efforts as an author.
