Unfortunately, Sloyd has Often been superficially judged from its outward symbols only, while the vital principles for which it stands have been overlooked. It is hoped that this little publica tion may help to convince teachers and other promoters of educa tion that the principles of Sloyd are broad and universal, and that as an effective educational agent it deserves a place in our schools.
