Introductory TALK NUMBER ONE He that is first in his own cause seemeth just, but his neighbor cometh and searcheth him Proverbs 18:17. In my talks, recently published, on the I sms, I discussed many facts having to do with the origination and manipulation of Christian Science, socalled, but very little space was given to the teachings of the cult. From platform and pulpit I have been delivering a series of sermons having to do with the questions: Is it Christianr Is it Scientific Tand Does it Heal? And to some of those who have heard these messages there has come the conviction that these messages should be given to the printed page for a wider hearing and a closer study. In the first talk of the printed series we propose to do nothing more than outline something of what we hope to accomplish in this coming series, and we want to add to this foreward a few words of appreciation and commendation for the acceptable traits and characteristics of the Scientist. While we have no commendatory word for Christian Science, as a religion, in foreword, or afterword, we do wish to give expression to our feelings of admiration for the efforts the Scientist makes toward certain worthy goals.

Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book is an early 20th-century critique of Christian Science and its founder, Mary Baker Eddy. The author, a minister, analyzes the movement's doctrines, practices, and history, arguing that it is not truly Christian and lacks a valid scientific basis. He also criticizes Eddy's leadership, which he characterizes as authoritarian and manipulative. Despite the book's age, its insights into the nature of religious belief and the dangers of charismatic leadership remain relevant today. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. N° de réf. du vendeur 9781330998236_0
