Leopold is delighted to publish this classic book as part of our extensive Classic Library collection. Many of the books in our collection have been out of print for decades, and therefore have not been accessible to the general public. The aim of our publishing program is to facilitate rapid access to this vast reservoir of literature, and our view is that this is a significant literary work, which deserves to be brought back into print after many decades. The contents of the vast majority of titles in the Classic Library have been scanned from the original works. To ensure a high quality product, each title has been meticulously hand curated by our staff. This means that we have checked every single page in every title, making it highly unlikely that any material imperfections – such as poor picture quality, blurred or missing text - remain. When our staff observed such imperfections in the original work, these have either been repaired, or the title has been excluded from the Leopold Classic Library catalogue. As part of our on-going commitment to delivering value to the reader, within the book we have also provided you with a link to a website, where you may download a digital version of this work for free. Our philosophy has been guided by a desire to provide the reader with a book that is as close as possible to ownership of the original work. We hope that you will enjoy this wonderful classic work, and that for you it becomes an enriching experience. We may end it, but that is another matter. It was on our conscience once the violation of Belgium put it there but somehow it slipped off how or why we need not now inquire. And it has never gotten back. I was saying as much to a friend of mine the other day when he interrupted me. Yes, he said warmly, but it is getting back. I was at that great mass-meeting Sunday and I never saw such I knew the rest. It was indeed a wonderful meeting. There was a great talk and a great collection and a tremendous burst of enthusiasm that lifted us straight up to the third heaven. But when it was over people went away saying, Yes, weve got to do it. We must whip them over there or we shall have to whip them over here.

Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book examines the views on war proffered by Jesus Christ, exploring how they contrast with contemporary Christian perspectives on armed conflict. The author asserts that Christians often interpret Christ's teachings through a literalist lens and argues that this approach misrepresents his true message. Instead, the author suggests that Jesus' teachings should be understood in terms of the spirit that underlies them: a spirit of love, compassion, and forgiveness. The author also discusses the historical context of Jesus' teachings, examining how the prevailing social and political conditions of his time shaped his views on violence. Through rigorous analysis of biblical texts and historical sources, this book provides a fresh perspective on Jesus' teachings on war, encouraging readers to question their own assumptions about the relationship between Christianity and violence. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. N° de réf. du vendeur 9781331058779_0
