Synopsis
This novel follows the story of memory princess in Yellow Moon who is living a humdrum life in Singapore until a chance meeting with a wealthy uncle changes her fate. After this encounter, the princess learns how to jazz dance and sees the sights of the city, coming to appreciate its true nature. One evening, a fortune teller at a party tells her of a dark, tall, thin man with black eyes who will enter her life. Soon after, the fortune teller seeks her out and warns her about this man who is targeting 5 others just like her. The princess, with the unexpected aid of her cunning uncle, must unravel the mystery before it's too late. The author provides a glimpse into the inner workings of Singaporean high society, complete with vivid descriptions and complex characters, in this entertaining tale.
