Introduction or a Supplement to The Gospel of the Besurrection. It has been my aim in writing them to realise as distinctly as I could the characteristic teaching of each manifestation of the Risen Christ both in relation to the first disciples and in relation to ourselves. The result is, I think, to place in a fuller light the circumstances under which the fact of the Besurrection was apprehended and the nature of the faxjt itself. The different narratives when examined together leave no room for the growth of faith in a delusion; and they shew adequately how the import of the new Truth was grasped.

Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book focuses on the accounts of the risen Christ's appearances following his resurrection, and how his contemporaries responded to these. Through a chapter-by-chapter analysis of the biblical record, the author offers a fresh interpretation of the nature and significance of these appearances. The author examines the disciples' initial disbelief and gradual recognition of Jesus, exploring the psychological and spiritual implications of their experiences. This book argues that these encounters were not mere hallucinations but transformative events that laid the foundation for their faith and the growth of Christianity. By placing these appearances within the broader context of Jewish messianic expectations and the development of Christian thought, the author provides a comprehensive understanding of the historical and theological significance of the resurrection. Ultimately, this book enhances our understanding of the transformative power of faith and the enduring relevance of the resurrection for Christians today.
