Présentation de l'éditeur

Lemon Co. Do you known them? I think I have heard of old man Lemon. I dont just remember what I have heard, but it was either that he was very religious or a great rascal; I am not sure which; perhaps it was both. I hope not, I am sure, though he is inclined to be religious, for one of the first things he asked me was if I loved the Lord. I will bet he is an old hypocrite. Don tsay that, my friend, for it is much nicer to think the best of people instead of the worst. Besides, I am to work for him, and I dont want any one to try and prejudice me against him. That sall right, Frank; I see you mean to be loyal, and I am sure that is best, but you have asked me nothing about myself. The fact is you have not given me much chance, but I am all ears. Thanks awfully; I had noticed your ears. Well, I am a clerk in the Metro bank, and although I draw quite a small salary, I try hard to make myself think that I am of some importance. But there is the supper bell; lets go down. The two young men went down to supper, and Frank was given a seat at the same table and opposite his room mate. Mrs. Sargent swas a large boarding-house, one of the largest in Boston, and Mrs. Sargent was a char acter. She was born and raised up in New Hampshire, and had early learned to be a good housekeeper.
