As an author he was always anonymous, and sometimes his reserve went further, as for instance when he refused a pressing demand for a second edition of the Falstaff essay, or when he strictly enjoined his executrix to destroy compositions of his which, according to an intelligent critic, would have planted a permanent laurel on his grave. In poliflc again he seems to have preferred exercising his great abilities in other mens names to coming forward as his own spokesman. Such a nature is not likely to make much impression on contemporary records, and several important questions about Morgann slife are still unanswered. Morgann was born in London in 1726 and died there in 1802.

Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book focuses on Sir John Falstaff, a character from Shakespeareâs Henry IV plays, and questions the long-standing assumption that he is a coward. The author, meticulously analyzing every aspect of Falstaff's character, offers ample evidence to dispute this deeply ingrained perception. The author begins by pointing out that appearances are often deceptive, and how ingrained beliefs can blind us to the truth. They highlight the incongruity between Falstaff's perceived cowardice and the respect and affection he commands from those who know him best. The author contends that the surface of Falstaff is a carefully constructed, humorous facade, and that beneath lies a core of true courage and resilience. This book delves deeply into the complex character of Falstaff, examining his wit, humor, and seemingly immoral behavior. The author suggests that these traits are a product of Falstaff's choice to live outside societal norms, and that his indulgence in vice is a deliberate strategy to avoid responsibility. In doing so, the author presents a nuanced understanding of Falstaffâs motivations and complexities, challenging traditional interpretations of his character. Ultimately, this book is not just a reassessment of Falstaff's courage but an exploration of the very nature of courage itself. It argues that courage is not merely the absence of fear, but the ability to act despite it, and that true courage can manifest in many different forms.
