Excerpt from American Red Cross Work Among the French People
As it Would be impossible to give in narrative form a full account of the activities of the American Red Cross among the French during the World War and keep it within the limits of a single volume, and as much of the work was purely technical, it has been thought best to deal with its various aspects in a general fashion rather than specialize on any. It is hoped thereby to inform the reader in an interesting way of the broad character and mom of American Red Cross efforts. It will be noticed that the book deals With work dur ing the war period and the months immediately follow ing and does not attempt to take up post-war activities in detail.
