HjCRIM FATHERS Dates have been given in New Style, except that for convenience of verification I have given my references to the English State Papers and the Plymouth Records as they are given in the Calendar of State Papers, and in the 1855 edition of the Records respectively. Much of the actual writing has been done out of reach of a good library, and this must be my apology for any imperfect references. I should like to thank Miss Burrows, St Hilda s Hall, and Mr E. A rmstrong, M.A., Queen s College, very gratefully for their advice and suggestions on many technical points.

Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book tells the story of the Pilgrims, a group of English Separatists who left their homeland in the early 17th century to establish a new colony in America. The Pilgrims were a group of religious dissenters who believed that the Church of England had become corrupt and that true Christianity could only be found outside of its structures. They were inspired by the writings of John Calvin and other Protestant reformers, and they believed that the Bible was the sole source of religious authority. In 1608, a group of Pilgrims fled to Holland, where they lived in exile for several years. In 1620, they set sail for America on the Mayflower, and they founded the Plymouth Colony in what is now Massachusetts. The Pilgrims faced many hardships in the New World, but they persevered and eventually established a successful colony. They were instrumental in the founding of the United States, and their legacy continues to inspire people today.
