Synopsis
This book discusses the powers of the Unionists demanding a general election on constitutional grounds, the Liberals opposing this demand, the case of the Unionists, the practical benefits of a general election if either side gained a decisive victor, the possibility of a settlement by consent without recourse to a general election, and the conditions of settlement put forth by Mr. Asquith.
