He looked out from the hilltop on which the village stood, over the slopes where shepherds tended their flocks amid the stretches of vineyard intersected by winding paths. There had been much stir along those pathways all day, and the innkeeper had profited by it. Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book is a timeless parable about the importance of compassion, humility, and the true meaning of hospitality. Set in a small village during the time of Christ's birth, the story follows an innkeeper who must decide whether to welcome weary travelers into his crowded inn. The innkeeper's interactions with various guests, including those representing pride, anger, and avarice, explore the complexities of human nature and the challenges of living a virtuous life. Ultimately, the book teaches that true fulfillment comes from embracing love, kindness, and generosity, as exemplified by the Christ-child, whose presence brings peace and salvation to those who welcome him.
