Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book challenges the validity of Kantian metaphysics by returning to the primary facts of consciousness as the basis for a genuine metaphysical philosophy. The author argues that Kant's fundamental errors include his assumption of the primacy of the consciousness or conscious mind, his denial of the reality of an external world absolute, and his repudiation of the validity of the primary consciousness itself. The author contends that these errors led Kant to a system of philosophy that is both internally inconsistent and at odds with the most basic deliverances of consciousness. The author's own system of philosophy, by contrast, is based on the recognition of the three great primary facts of consciousness of awareness of ones own existence, external perception, and recognition of the existence of other minds and their experience. From these facts, the author argues for the existence of a mind -independent external world absolute and for the objective truth of our own existence and our knowledge of that existence.
