Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book is a detailed study of the nuanced concept of Inspiration as it relates to writing in the context of the Bibleâs creation. The author challenges the assumption that there is only one type of inspired writingâ"the same for all the books of the Bibleâ"and that it is either in connection with the normal, or with the abnormal, mode of writing. Instead, the author posits inspiration as a divine influence operating upon the mind of the writer, or an independent source of hearing where the mind is removed from activity, resulting in plenary inspiration. This notion sidesteps the need to categorize inspiration as either the same as normal writing, or the same as abnormal writing. The author concludes that writing by inspiration may most probably be something with which we are still entirely unacquainted.
