The edition in my hands is that of Colonies Agrimaince, sumptibus Antomz Bierut; anno Domini MDCXV.: approved by Claudius Aquaviva, General of the Society, in the preced ing year If my present work be worthy the acceptance of the Jesuits in these United States, to them I offer it, as an humble but grate ful remuneration for the cares and favors which they bestowed upon my boyhood, While under their salutary and paternal tuition.
