Jf KEFACE THE three men I have called seers in these chapters have been chosen as representing various sides of the moral, intellectual, and spiritual outlook of our age. Hinton, a veritable Don Quixote of the newer morality, Nietzsche, a modern Lucifer of the intellect, and Carpenter, a Child of the Spirit, all meet on the common ground of a striving towards perfection of individual character as the chief factor in social progress. However contradictory their methods may appear at first sight, these prophets of a sane morality are at one in their plea for a solidarity working from within outwards.

Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book sheds new light on three influential yet controversial thinkers whose writings explored morality, intellect, and spirituality in the 19th Century. Drawing parallels between James Hinton, Friedrich Nietzsche, and Edward Carpenter, the author delves into their ideas on morality, freedom, and human progress. The author argues that these three men were not merely philosophers but seers who possessed a unique understanding of the human condition. Their ideas about the fluidity of morality and the importance of passion and personal experience challenged the rigid social and religious norms of their time. Through an exploration of their writings, the book offers valuable insights into ethics, sexuality, and the nature of pain and pleasure. By examining the work of these thinkers, the author encourages readers to question their own assumptions and embrace a more enlightened outlook on life.
