This book details experiments building on the author's earlier work on induced cell-division in isolated cells and their implications for the understanding of the causes of cancer. The author posits that the proliferation of cells seen in cancerous tumors is caused by a combination of the simultaneous action of auxetics and augmentors on tissue cells. Auxetics, produced by the body during cell death, are known to cause normal cell proliferation. Their combination with augmentors, isolated for the first time by the author, is shown to increase this effect and cause the abnormal cell division characteristic of tumors. The author presents evidence that combinations of auxetics and augmentors can induce epithelial cell proliferation and infiltration in animals, mimicking the appearance of malignant epithelial cell proliferation and infiltration in epitheliomas. The book discusses the significance of these findings in understanding the causes of cancer and the possible future development of treatments based on them.
