Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book compiles military occupational specifications for the Army's Signal Corps consisting of field signal battalions, telegraph battalions, and pigeon companies. Such specifications define the occupational needs of these units and served as a basis for establishing a well-balanced force. These specifications extended beyond the typical civilian occupation by including the duties of each grade. The author recognized the limitations of civilian job titles alone to describe Army functions, and provides qualitative descriptions of the tasks to be performed within each military role. Ultimately, the book established a common set of guidelines to standardize occupational functions and provided flexible guidelines that could adapt to the evolving nature of warfare. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. N° de réf. du vendeur 9781332097951_0
