The period of development in the application of cement to human needs has also seen the extension of sewer systems to serve by far the larger part of our urban population. Cement has already worked into this field to a considerable extent, and the number of machines for the manufacture of cement sewer pipe which are just now coming onto the market would seem to indicate that the development along this line is to follow largely the growth of the drain tile industry. From present indica tions the writer feels warranted in predicting that this will be the next most phenomenal development with which concrete is connected.
