Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book contains two sermons examining the parable of the rich fool. The sermons discuss the lessons of the parable of the rich man who thinks only of his abundance and forgets his soul. Jesus's main point is that it is impossible to secure a lasting life here or in the next world without being right with God and man. The author admonishes his readers to learn from the rich fool and to lay up treasures in heaven rather than on earth. The author explains that the only way to do this is to love God more than money, to be rich in good works, and to be merciful to our fellow human beings. The author concludes by saying that the rich fool's errors can teach us to have wisdom and spiritual riches toward God so that we may be ready for the day of the Lord.
