Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This book provides the life of Saint Brother Aegidius in a detailed account. Born in Assisi, Italy, he began following Saint Francis of Assisi in 1210. He traveled with Saint Francis as one of his first twelve followers and became known for his piety and love of God. Aegidius's life is a beautiful example of humility and obedience to God. Living in solitude, Aegidius rejected all material possessions, leading a life of prayer, fasting, and meditation. He devoted himself to helping others, especially the poor and sick. He was said to have had visions of paradise and was known for his miracles, such as restoring sight to the blind and healing the sick. After Saint Francis died, Aegidius continued to spread the Franciscan message of love and poverty, living in hermitages in Italy and France. Aegidius became a source of spiritual counsel for many, including popes and cardinals. This book illuminates the life of a man who dedicated his life to God and became a shining example of Christian virtue. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
