This is a national school to prepare young men forentering the Navy. The buildings are all Capacious and costly. The cadets' quarters is a very large building; the armory, laboratory and steam engineering buildings, the observatory and library, are all points of interest. Hand some rows of private residences for the use of the Officers, &c., front upon broad and pleasant walks and terraces. The grounds are neatly kept, covering an area of over 100 acres, de lightfully shaded and cared with a sward of closely shaven grass. In summer these grounds are thronged with itors from every partof the world. The adjacent river is Often dotted with united'states vessels at anchor.
