With regard to statements made by the old gentleman relative to his own personal performances in running, jumping, shooting, &c., it must be observed that no charge of extravagance or exaggeration will be preferred against him by those that have known him during his past life; as a marksman ofthe first order, he is known by many inhabiting the section of country in which he now resides.
