The editors of Emblem 1954 have selected as its theme, the Major Functions of Living ,as an integral part of the new curriculum program initiated by the Chicago Public Schools. This theme is also representative of the philosophy of Chicago Teachers College: a flexible program and a dynamic philosophy founded on the belief in our responsibilities, as educators and citizens, to freedom and to ourselves.
