Synopsis

Witty, nostalgic fiction about a legendary family of cricketers and the pull of big name expectations.

A young life unfolds at Maiden Croft as the Rumbolds—a brood defined by Granby School pride and a century of athletic legend—grapple with family tradition, rivalries, and the pressure to live up to a famous name. The book follows Joe and his brothers through school days filled with cricket, loyalty, humor, and the messy, memorable moments of growing up in a sports‑minded clan.

  • family history and the weight of a sporting legacy
  • school life, friendships, and the heat of athletic competition
  • humor, pride, and the bonds that hold brothers together
  • rivalries, schemes, and the early lessons of loyalty and responsibility
Ideal for readers of classic British coming‑of‑age stories and sports memoirs, especially those who enjoy affectionate portraits of school life and family lore.

Présentation de l'éditeur
