Présentation de l'éditeur

This book, originally published in 1907, contains letters and discourse with the Samaritan High Priest relating to the Messianic expectations of the Samaritan community of the time. First presented is information as to the Samaritan’s records of the existence of Jesus and the early years of the Christian religion. Following is the High-Priest's treatise concerning the expectation of the events surrounding and a description of the Samaritan Messiah with ten proofs from their Torah. Last are inquiries by William Barton to the High Priest which shed light on the Samaritan interpretation of scripture and history, highlighting the differences between Christians, Jews, and Samaritans.
