I believe that I am near the truth, and hope that the book will at least serve as a basis and starting point for a better treatise of the subject in the future. I have tried to explain and ar range the work so that a novice might take up club-swinging and juggling from the very begin ning. This book contains exercises which I have taught to my pupils and practiced myself. It can be relied upon as practicable. I have as far as possible followed the terms set forth in the reg ular Gymnastic Nomenclature of the Young Men's Christian Associations of North America.
