Synopsis
This volume, Contributions to the Flora of Iowa, continues a pioneering catalog of the state's plants. It helps readers understand what grows where and why specimens matter.
Joseph Charles Arthur builds on earlier lists to include additions and observations about Iowa’s flora. The work covers a range of plant groups, with emphasis on careful documentation, specimen backing, and ongoing updates as new material becomes available. Readers gain a clear picture of local diversity, from common species to rare finds, and how botanists verify identifications over time.
