Excerpt from Das Problem der Modernen Klaviertechnik

Paperback. Etat : New. Print on Demand. This guide to piano technique for pianists and piano students of varying experience levels introduces a new, more objective approach to understanding the physics and physiology of piano playing. Informed by the author's own research and the knowledge of famous pianists and physiologists, this text presents a more comprehensive perspective on piano technique. It aims to break free from the "old guard" of twentieth-century piano pedagogy and instead rely on scientific principles to outline the mechanics of piano playing, emphasizing the pianist's touch, strength, and technique. The author shares many years of collected wisdom to propose that only by returning to the natural laws of physics and physiology can pianists truly master their craft.
