These vocabularies were collected by the author, with some assistance from interpreters. While the inclusion of the personal pronouns in these vocabularies is not exhaustive, they do contain many words not included in Koelle's dictionary. The author also recorded some Vai words that Koelle omitted. This book will be of great interest to linguists, historians, and anyone interested in the languages of the Sierra Leone region.
